St. Patrick's Day

Today is St Patrick's Day so "Wishing you a pot o' gold, and all the joy your heart can hold" and "Any excuse to drink green beer!". This week's Top 5 Wednesday post is to celebrate St Patrick's day with the Top 5 Green (or leprechaun gold) books. This was a ridiculously hard post to write just because I needed to find Green (or gold) books and I must admit that most of the books are not completely green but do contain traces of green (or gold) in them. I also must confess that some of the books I have either not read or not yet read fully and so these are really just green books that I own. Let's get right into it with the Top 5 Green books I own.

1. William Shakespeare: The Complete Works

This is one of the books I have read extremely little of because I am not a huge Shakespeare fan and the language in this book is very difficult. I have read the first few scenes of Macbeth in this book and then I read the rest in a more friendly book. The cover of this book though is completely dark green which makes it ideal for this St Patrick's Day post. Although I do want to read some more of the texts in this book, finding the motivation to do so is quite hard.

2. Theory Test, Practical Test & Highway Code

This book is one I have not read page by page but have read various parts of the book. It is very interesting and getting me ready for driving lessons which is good. So far I have only looked at the key information I have been interested in at the time. This book also contains some green as well as yellow on the cover of the book so we could argue it is both green and gold couldn't we?

3. Bart Simpsons Guide to Life

This is a very funny book which once again I have not read page by page but rather just different parts when I have been intrigued and interested in them. This is a truly entertaining book following Bart Simpson with some advice on how he thinks you should live your life. Would you follow Bart's advice for life? I probably wouldn't and would be very careful personally what advice I follow. This book however does have traces of green on the cover which again makes it ideal for this blog post.

4. Dictionary of Proverbs

This book is again a book I have not read fully through but rather just look up what I am looking for. Also, because this is a dictionary you are not really meant to read it cover to cover like you would with other books and so it is ideal that I do not read this fully. The cover of this book is light green though and it is a very interesting book at that.

5. Fake Law

Finally, this final book is kind of the exception to this list. This book does not contain any green but does contain some yellow/gold on the cover and it does have gold (or yellow which is meant to be gold) rimmed pages and so this could be seen as the leprechaun gold. This is one of the books and the only book on the list that I have not yet read at all as I am waiting for a suitable time to read this book. I am very much looking forward to reading this book after enjoying the Secret Barrister's first book so much.

So that is all for this week and boy that was a hard post to write. Do you have any green books? If so please feel free to leave a comment below and also please share this post with your friends and on your social media to get this post out there. I hope you enjoyed reading and I will look forward to next weeks Top 5 Wednesday post.
