Happy Public Domain Day 2021

Happy New Year Readers! It is now 2021!

Another year is over and another year has just started. We may still be in the middle of a global pandemic but there is hope this year, there is hope of a more positive future this year if we just hang on a little longer. This year is also another year of great change with the UK now officially out of the European Union. Some people may be happy we have started a new year, others may be quite sad but look at the year ahead as a project and come up with some goals to achieve this year.

Anyway, New Year's day also means public domain day meaning that loads of great classics are released into the public domain for readers to read them for free. In the UK the copyright laws say Copyright last for life plus 70 years and after this works enter the public domain. This year we are lucky that loads of great books have entered the public domain this year and below you will be able to see which ones. Enjoy!
