1. Books can give you a glimpse into other cultures and places- I bet you read a lot about your favourite country or destination and in return, you have lots of knowledge from different people about this place. Reading can bring the world to your doorstep and in times like COVID when you cannot freely travel abroad like before it offers you the chance to escape and discover new places. Furthermore, books will help you learn about how different societies work and live and show you how different countries can all be.
2. Reading works for better intelligence- When reading, your fluid intelligence will improve. This has to do with your problem-solving and pattern detecting skills which can be vital life skills. When we read, we are thinking and reasoning continuously and try to remember all the events that had happened earlier in the book. Our brains are a very complex system that allows us to remember so many things and connect the dots and so reading helps with this skill.
Book of the Day
Today's book of the day is The Unlucky Sperm Club by Nelson Tressler and is the best book that has been published in 2020 that I have read. Yes, I have read some good books this year but my favourite book that has been published this year is this book, I have not read one book which has been published this year as I am saving it! Anyway, it is about how your family name and reputation do not define you as a person and how you can break free from any of the curses which have granted you entrance to this club. This is an exclusive club which I believe you should be happy to be in, I am now! You can buy this book for Christmas or new year by following this link https://amzn.to/3kPgLLH to take you to Amazon.
