1. Can help break a slump- Being in a slump is uncomfortable. If you are a writer, you call it a writer's block. If you are a salesperson it is called not making a sale n 23 days and if you are a GCSE or A-level a slump is called not feeling like or being able to find the motivation to revise. But a slump can be a crossroads. It might be you are wavering on your commitment to a particular project or a person. Or a slump can be simply a lack of ideas. Books are a source of ideas, big and small. So if you find yourself in a slump, pick a book on the portion of your life you are slumping and get to reading?

2. Reading enhances imagination- Albert Einstein already said that our imagination is more important than our knowledge. He stated that knowledge is what we currently understand and know while imagination is pointing to all the things we might discover and create. Reading a book offers us endless possibilities for using our imagination. When reading a book, we stimulate our brain's right side to let our creativity run wild.
