1. Reading is an active mental process- Reading is like a work out for your brain. Like you work your body and get fit physically by exercise in the gym or running reading is the work out for the brain. Reading activates many areas of your brain which are normally not active and so unlike when you watch tv or scroll through social media, you think more and become smarter. Many successful people are known to read many books each week and this is because it helps them become more successful and provides a workout for their brain.
2. Reading is to some extent free education- Everybody knows that education comes at a price due to all the Tuition, classes, educational software, textbooks and so much more and all those students or parents involved in education know that these things are not cheap! However, is you read books you can learn about a whole topic either for a small cost if you buy the book or for free if you use a library. Furthermore, it does not have to be academic topics, you can read and learn about anything you like and is there is no book on the topic you want to learn about, then maybe this is your opportunity to write your own book.
Book of the Day
As today we have been talking about both how books are workouts for the brain and a form of education, today's book of the day will look at an educational book which you should consider buying. Today I am going to recommend the Secret Barristers second book Fake Law which brings readers back to the UK Criminal Justice system to teach us about Fake Laws. If you have read his first book Stories of the Law and how it is broken then I recommend that you read this book. This is an educational and entertaining book which is written to inform and educate and so makes it the perfect book to learn about the UK Law.
