2nd December 2020 Book Portal Advent

1. It is a fundamental skill builder - Reading is a great way to learn new things. Every good course on the planet has a matching book to go with it. This is because books help clarify difficult subjects. Books contain information and knowledge that goes deeper than just classroom discussion. Books contain in-depth knowledge from subject experts who know exactly what they are talking about and years of knowledge go into books. For example, a youtube learning video would have probably taken a week to create; whereas books take years to write and they are all about the author's knowledge which they have picked up over many years.

2. Reading boosts brainpower - The of the most impressive benefits of reading is that it will boost your brainpower! Lots of extensive research by neuroscientists has revealed that reading books improve the functions of our brains at various levels. As said yesterday, reading is a workout for the brain. Researchers have said that when we read books, the connectivity of our brain is stimulated and enhanced. So looking at this, we could say that reading indeed makes us smarter.

Book of the Day

Today's book of the day is Zero Negativity by Ant Middleton which was published earlier this year (2020). This is a book that I have not actually read but am really looking forward to reading when I get some spare time. In this book, Ant Middleton talks about his positive mindset and teaches us how to live a life with zero negativity. The book is all about the power of positive thinking. This book may be particularly relevant because of the events of 2020 as you may be dealing with some negatives and so I am sure this book will help.
